Hi, I’m Rachael

I am Rachael, an artist and integrative counsellor. By facilitating the use of arts as therapy, I help people from ages 5 and upwards to communicate their feelings through creativity. My primary focus is building a trusting therapeutic relationship, to provide a playful but secure holding space for a unique expression. Using an integrative approach, this enables the client to express, explore and heal their inner world, through the safety and power of the metaphor.

My background is in teaching and I have worked with children and families for almost two decades. From pastoral care and teaching drama to supporting children 1 on 1, I became Creative Director at a Montessori Nursery. Recognised by my colleagues and clients for my commitment to facilitating positive change in children’s’ inner world and self-esteem, I went on to earn my Diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling from IATE (Institute of Arts in Therapy and Education, London). From there I entered the therapy world to explore my passion for psychotherapy and the creative arts. I recently completed an adult course in The Arts and Science of Relationships (Toronto University).

I currently live in the Haute-Savoie with my husband and three cats. When I’m not busy with parent consultations and therapy sessions, you’ll find me singing in my band or experimenting with vegan baking.
